There’s a quiet ache in me lately.
Not for touch. Not for conversation.
For connection.
Not the cute-texts-and-late-night-calls kind—
But the kind that feels like plugging your braid into someone else’s soul.
Yes. Like Avatar.
Like remembering someone you never met but somehow already knew.
If you know, you know.
And if you don’t? Let me show you what happens when your soul changes its language—and starts calling in a whole new world.
I’m No Longer Fluent in Shallow
I’m not here for small talk anymore.
Not for surface smiles or relationships built on “likes.”
I’m no longer interested in being understood in English.
Or Spanish.
I only want to speak soul now.
The language that needs no translation.
The kind you feel in the eyes, the breath, the energy someone brings when they walk into a room.
I want to feel people before I hear them.
I want to sense truth before it’s spoken.
I want to be met in stillness, not performance.
The Soul Craving: Plug Me In Like Avatar
Lately, I’ve been craving a kind of intimacy that doesn’t even live in the body.
It’s deeper than that.
It’s a remembering.
Think Avatar—not the action scenes, but those sacred moments when they plug into their flying animal, their community tree, their person. That braid-to-braid connection. That merging of energy, trust, and knowing.
That’s what my soul is whispering for.
Not to be touched.
To be met.
The Evolution Is Already Happening
And honestly? It’s already happening.
I’ve been watching old friendships—ones built on convenience or obligation—quietly fall away.
No drama. No conflict.
Just a natural energetic exit.
And in their place, new connections have been forming.
Not “networking.” Not “girl gang vibes.”
But soul recognitions.
Where we don’t just talk—we feel each other.
Where we hold space without trying to fix or save.
Where we share things we didn’t even mean to—but somehow, they’re safe.
It feels like divine intervention every time.
And I know it’s because I’m doing the work to clear the way.
The more aligned I become, the more aligned people arrive.
It’s not magic. It’s resonance.
No More Performing
I used to share more than I wanted just to be understood.
Now?
If someone hasn’t met their own soul, they’ll never recognize mine.
I’m not explaining myself anymore.
I’m not managing energy that isn’t mine.
I’m not performing intimacy—I’m living it.
And only with those who can meet me there.
Not everyone will.
That’s the cost of truth.
But what you gain…
is everything.
Yes, It’s Vulnerable. And Yes, It’s Worth It.
Here’s the part most people don’t say:
To connect on this level, you have to get naked in a whole new way.
Not your body.
Your soul.
You have to be brave enough to say:
This is what I long for.
This is who I really am beneath the survival scripts.
This is what I won’t settle for anymore.
And yes, that can feel terrifying.
But here’s what no one tells you:
There are others searching for this too.
And when your soul meets theirs—without fear, without walls—
the relationship that forms is unlike anything you’ve ever known.
It changes you.
It changes the way you move through the world.
It softens your edges, sharpens your intuition, and creates a sanctuary inside your body.
One where love lives without needing to be owned.
But to experience this kind of connection?
You must clear the static.
The inflammation.
The anxiety.
The trauma.
The gut imbalance.
The stress patterns that make you feel unsafe in your own skin.
Because if your nervous system is constantly in survival mode,
you’ll never feel safe enough to plug in.
Soul Preparation Isn’t About Perfection—It’s About Surrender
Lately, I’ve been rereading The Way of the Bodhisattva. And one teaching keeps echoing through me:
Detachment isn’t about becoming cold or distant.
It’s not about numbing out or pretending things don’t matter.
It’s about letting go of the outcome—so fully, so lovingly, that everything becomes part of the path.
Even the pain.
Even the disappointment.
Even the aching space where a connection used to be.
When you practice detachment from outcome, you start to see every experience as a piece of the master plan.
Not because it feels good—but because it’s doing the work.
Stripping you of what doesn’t matter.
Softening your ego.
Sharpening your awareness.
And leaving you with nothing but your bare soul.
That’s when your heart opens in a way that can’t be faked.
That’s when you stop chasing and start receiving.
And that’s when the people you’ve been calling in—whether consciously or not—begin to arrive.
Doing the Inner Work (Even When You Can’t See What’s Coming)
The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that we must act with devotion, but without attachment to the result.
“You have the right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.”
— Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Verse 47
And isn’t that what soul preparation truly is?
You don’t force connection.
You become the person who is ready to receive it.
You clear your vessel, strengthen your intuition, and trust that the right souls will recognize you when you meet.
For me, this has looked like letting go of people who no longer fit—but without bitterness.
It’s looked like saying no to connections that feel “almost right”—and trusting that “all the way right” is worth waiting for.
Remembering Who You Are—Even in Survival Mode
I go to bed thinking of things.
I wake up thinking of things.
Some are important—bills, priorities, what needs to be done tomorrow.
Others are random, silly, even insignificant. But still—they don’t stop.
They race through my mind as I’m trying to fall asleep, even after taking full-spectrum magnesium.
They greet me first thing in the morning, hours before I’m ready to rise.
Some days, the only way I can fall back asleep is with Yoga Nidra, just to get two more hours of peace.
The truth is: the world is chaotic.
The economy is rough.
The government isn’t helping—it’s tightening its grip.
Budget cuts come fast and without warning.
And when that happens, we go into survival mode.
The first things to go are luxuries.
The second are the tasks we once outsourced—we start doing everything ourselves.
And the third? The things we need, but tell ourselves we can do without. Like electricity.
My abuela used to say, “Paga tu renta primero para que siempre tengas techo. Y si no puedes pagar la luz, unas velas resuelven mucho.” (“Pay your rent first so you’ll always have a roof over your head and if you can’t pay your electric bill, candles will go a long way.”)
So that’s what we did.
We lit candles after dark.
We charged our phones in public places.
We figured it out.
But let me be clear: it’s not easy.
It’s not romantic.
And it’s not optional.
These are the times when we forget we’re spiritual beings.
We get knocked into our instincts.
Fight or flight. Hustle or shut down. Survival thinking takes over.
But this is why we train.
This is why we meditate.
This is why we practice presence—so that in the chaos, we don’t forget who we are.
We remember:
We are spiritual beings.
We have more power than we realize.
We don’t have to fall for fear.
We don’t have to solve problems from the same mental state that created them.
We must remember.
Sit in our knowing.
Connect to our higher Self.
Open our minds to solutions we can’t see from panic or pain.
I’m a Puerto Rican woman.
I know poverty.
I know what it means to adapt, to survive, to figure it out without help.
And that’s what makes it so hard to receive. To break free from the struggle cycle. To attract something unfamiliar—like ease, or overflow.
But I’ve learned:
You break the cycle by fighting to remember.
By pausing—when everything around you is screaming go.
By grounding—when all you want to do is float away.
By praying or moving or breathing or lighting a candle and saying,
“I still remember who I am.”
It feels counterintuitive.
It may even feel ridiculous.
But there is no lion chasing you.
There is time to commune with your Self.
And that is where your answers live.
No, it won’t be easy.
Yes, the steps will stretch you.
But they’ll lead you through the storm.
Because life doesn’t stop throwing things at you. Not even for the 1%.
Everyone’s struggling.
But those who’ve done the work—who’ve built soul families, anchored their nervous systems, and learned to ride the waves—they’re the ones who will live to enjoy the sun when it appears again.
Together.
With peace.
With love.
This Is What I Want Now
Depth.
Stillness.
Energetic safety.
To laugh until I snort, cry without apology, and dance without performing.
To speak soul and be spoken to in soul.
To meet people at the root.
To commune in resonance.
To stop negotiating for crumbs when my soul knows it was born for feasts.
And I know I’m not the only one.
With That Said…
Is your soul craving this kind of connection too?

To stop negotiating for crumbs cus my soul was born for feast. I love it sorry if I didn’t put it down word for word but that right there my soul definitely felt ♥️
I am sitting here, still smiling, while tears roll down my cheeks.
...cause I get this.
Deeply, completely...but I never had words to explain a fraction of what you just said.
I just felt it, lived it, loved it.
Thank you, Kristie.
This was so profound for me, I'm already talking about it, encouraging people to read it, and I'm glad it is you saying it.
Loved hearing and FEELING your emotions while reading.
Brave girl.
